Baby Mackenzie's Blessing Day

On September 6 we had the opportunity to bless our new darling little girl at church (I know...I am only a month late but that is the story of my life these days! You should see my pile of laundry!). We were so lucky to have so much family here to support her and have the most influential men in her life included in the circle. Mackenzie was a little fussy but once she heard the sound of her daddy's voice, she immediately calmed down and was so peaceful. My brother-in-law Chad, who is a far more eloquent writer then I am, wrote about the experience here at http://chadinazdesert.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-nieces-blessing.html. Mackenzie is lucky to have such a sweet daddy who is so in tune with the Spirit and was able to call upon the heavens in her behalf. He gave such a beautiful blessing and it was an experience like no other. Somehow, the heavens don't seem that far away when he exercises his priesthood. We had a great weekend enjoying Dave and Nabby's family and we are so thankful that my Mom and Deloy made the long drive from Idaho just to be here for Mackenzie.

Her blessing dress was absolutely gorgeous on her...thanks to Grandma Candace and Jido for giving it to her. What a special gift and a beautiful keepsake for her. Hopefully she can use it for her daughter someday.
The proud parents...another beautiful daughter...how blessed are we?!

Here is Mackenzie just "chillin" after her big debut! It was a really special day for our family and we couldn't love this little angel anymore!
