Viva Las Vegas

Last weekend TJ and I ran away to Las Vegas, kidfree, thanks to the team effort of the grandparents (THANK YOU both so much!). He had a work conference there and he was sweet enough to plan a little getaway for us before his conference started. He is always so good to plan fun little trips for the two of us and I feel so blessed to have such a thoughtful husband. We really just have so much fun being together and it always makes me feel like we are back in our dating years again!

We stayed at the Venetian, which is an amazingly beautiful hotel and enjoyed just walking around the canal shops and eating at all the fun restaurants there. We always love the Grand Lux Cafe and they have such a yummy breakfast.

The gardens at the Bellagio were spectacular, as usual, and all decorated for fall. They even had this cool talking tree that my girls would have thought was so silly.

The last night we were there, TJ took me to a fancy Italian restaurant and then we were off to see The Phantom of the Opera. It is always a touching show, but it was especially exciting because they had a few empty seats so they upgraded us to the 8th row, center stage. Pretty lucky...I guess we should have hit the casinos more!
TJ thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals...I should have photographed them all because they were pretty impressive (for those of you who don't know...my husband has quite a hearty appetite...he is a Hazar, what can I say!).

Thanks for a wonderful weekend. It always goes by too quickly, but there is nothing better then coming home to my girls. Back to reality....

I'm so glad you guys got to get away like that. I can only imagine TJ and his food. I'm the same way. Vegas is one of the best cities to eat in, too. :) Love your pictures. You both look gorgeous!!
