Fall is in the Air

Actually, not really here in AZ...it was still in the 90s today, but we are pretending like it is fall here. Last week at Madison's preschool, she had her annual country fair and Cali was allowed to join in on the fun with her preschool class.

Madison and Taylor...best buddies!

It was so fun to see all the kiddos dressed in their country best. Here is Madison's entire class with her teachers, Mrs. Bauer and Mrs. Norton. She is having another really great year at La Casa de Cristo Preschool!

This past Sunday night we had Chad and Michelle's family over to carve pumpkins...Grandma Candace, Jido, my mom, and Deloy were also there, but they all claimed they were "retired" from the pumpkin carving stages of their lives and were no help at all. Luckily the boys were pretty into it...

I think the boys scared the kids a little with the knifes and the grunting. It is hard work making a masterpiece!

Even Michelle got her hands dirty and cleaned out the pumpkin goo...a job nobody would volunteered for.

The kids waited patiently for the pumpkins to be cleaned out and the carving to begin...

Madison helped me pick out the pumpkins at the store and, of course, we came home with not one, but three pumpkins for her daddy to carve. He said he was done after two, but was a good sport about it. Surprisingly, TJ has a hidden talent as a pumpkin carver and takes it pretty seriously. Every year he tries to outdo his pumpkin from the previously year.

Tyler, the pumpkin man...we had fun trying the pumpkin face on the kids..surprisingly, it fit Chad's head perfectly. That is the beauty of signature Cherrington head though!

We had to see how our finished products looked all lite up...let's hope these pumpkins make it to Halloween night. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun night!
