Disneyland or Bust!!

We just got back from another successful Hazar Family trip to Disneyland (well it has been a couple weeks now...I am a little slow at this blogging thing!). It is by far our favorite place to go on vacation right now with our girls being ages 2 and 4 because they just think it is so magical. They eat it all up! As we were walking in, Madison turned to me and ask, "Mommy, is this a dream?" She couldn't believe we were actually there! That little comment made the whole trip worth it.
We drove over on Thursday and just couldn't help ourselves but to head to Disneyland that night for some fun. We have never been there before at Halloween time and it was so festive. Everywhere we turned it was decorated with candy corns and spooky things. Even all the characters were in costumes! Here is a shot of the entrance decor...
We immediately went on Cali's FAVORITE ride...Dumbo...I think we must have ridden that one at least 5 or 6 times that weekend.

Then we headed over to Madison's favorite ride...the TEACUPS. Actually it is TJ's too but he doesn't like to admit it. The girls squealed the whole time!

The girls were amazed by the crazy farm that was growing candy corns. They both inherited their mommy's love for sweets so they thought this was heaven on earth! Madison's face says it all!

Madison loved keeping an eye out for characters and enjoyed posing with them. Cali was a little unsure about the whole idea.

The best part about our trip was getting to spend time with the Hazar cousins. The kids had so much fun together and I am so glad that they are all such great friends. I am so grateful to Jim and Candace, who always put forth such an effort to get the whole family together. They are helping to create such a wonderful childhood for my girls and all the grand kids so THANK YOU so much! Your efforts do not go unnoticed!

This picture cracks me up because Madison and Julia were insistent that they could ride Midway Mania together with no adults to help them. The point of the ride is to aim and shoot at different targets on screens. At the end of the ride, I looked over at Madison's score and it was 0 and Julia's score was a 10. (Just for a point of reference, TJ scored like 150,000). They were just laughing and giggling at each other in the 3-D glasses the entire time. When we got off, Madison informed me that she taught Julia how to play, hence Julia's high score!

They were pretty proud of themselves!

This is our somewhat sad attempt to get all the grand kids together and smiling at the same time. Baby Alvin (David and Nabby's baby) was not too crazy about this idea. He better get use to the picture moments, especially being a Hazar! Thanks Grandma Candace for the cute matching princess shirts!

There was even a petting zoo all set up for Halloween with sheep, goats, and cows. Both my girls absolutely LOVE animals, but they thought it was little stinky so they kept their distance.

Cali wasn't afraid of the pumpkin scarecrow though!

In just one day, Cali insisted on several outfit changes. She went from being Minnie Mouse, to wearing her princess shirt, to actually being a princess. I wonder where she gets this from?? She makes packing a little challenging.

Cali and Grandma Candace posing with Winnie the Pooh outside the infamous "buzzy bee" ride. Ever since Cali was stung by a bee at our cabin in Pinetop, she is petrified of the Winnie the Pooh ride because there are bees on it. She was adamant that we skip this ride...maybe next time!

This was the highlight of the trip for my girls, once again! They loved taking pictures with the princesses and wearing their princess dresses for the princess coronation ceremony.

Even Minnie was dressed in her princess best!

At the ceremony they taught all the little girls a dance and they got to dance with Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty.

Every time we do the Princess Extravaganza at Disneyland, TJ mutters something under his breath about needing to have a boy. Maybe someday honey...keep dreaming!

It was such a fun and exhausting weekend. We even went for a couple hours on Sunday with Chad and Michelle's family before we gave in and drove home. What can I say, we are die-hards! Thanks to all the Hazars for some great memories.

What a fun trip! I can't wait till Isabelle is old enough to enjoy Disney. I think it is funny that you had a few outfits with you for Cali to change, always prepared. I can't wait to see you and TJ next week and finally meet your darling girls.

Such cute pictures!!! Those were fun times for sure. Disneyland was so fun, as always. I always love seeing the girls with the princesses. They are in heaven there. The pumpkin carving was hilarious, too. We'll have to make that a tradition. I did wake up to a rotten, mushy, moldy pumpkin the other day though and almost gagged carrying it out to the trashcan. Hope yours held up better.

Loved the pictures of Madison at the Country Fair. Makes me sad Julia wasn't there for it this year. :( We'll see you tonight for some more Halloween fun!!!
